Carol Bassoni and Mary Blumenstein demonstrated lace for 2 days in Colfax during Railroad Days. We had a corner shaded area that we cozied up to look like a parlor. The quilt top we used for shade, was one that Mary made in a 'strip club' quilting class. When the sun shown through it, it looked like stained glass. There are several antique shops - picked up a few items in one of them. There is also a very nice quilt shop. |

In the railroad museum, they had an Irish lace wedding gown. It was remarkable. I'm afraid that the photographs do not do it justice. If you ever get to Colfax, you should see this beautiful piece. |
